I took ages to sort my tingly toes out  tried everything.

Turned out to be the morton's neuroma problem. Solved it with the Specialized support footbeds. They come in three support levels, red, blue and green. Red being minimal support, green being lots. I needed the green and it sorted it right away. They all have a metatarsal 'button' which sort of acts like a spreader to stop the nerve getting trapped.

It really took every ounce of enjoyment out of my riding, it was a pure joy to fix it. They are about £25 a set. Find an LBS that sells them as they have a glass plate you can stand on which gives you a good idea of the level of support you need. They measured me and suggested blue, I put some in in the shop and they felt better but not quite enough, so I bought green and theyre superb. You even get a shim kit with them so you can fine tune knee alignment.

As for hand issues, as everyone has said, flip the stem. I find even a slight rise in height of my hoods (swivel the handlebar up in the stem) makes enormous differences. Its a bit of a black art and takes some twiddling.

Good luck
Hi. My G/F has thevery problem, sore toes after 18 miles or so, and it sounds like this is the problem, can you tell me which LBS you used as you are local to me, it seems. Thank you very much.

Hiya,

I just bought some specialized body geometry footbeds. they come in 3 different levels of support. Primera do them and they also have the magic plate that you stand on that tells you which one you need.

I have 2 pairs of shoes, one narrower than the other. In the narrow set I still get it ever so slightly, so make sure she has wide shoes.

Fast and careful!
Hands issue is pressure on your ulnar nerve ,when you feel the start of the tingle release each hand one at a time place behind back and open and close hands, and the tingle will subside ,it will get better in time ie does not occur so much,I was advised by a biomechanics expert ,a chap I ride regularly with to tuck your chin into your you chest and repeat this action,so repeat chin tucks, this does help, gloves do help again don't get cheapie a I use a nice pair of spech and they are replaced regularly

Am I weird? I just laughed at my own post above from 6 months ago. Then told my other half about it. THEN realised it was my post........

Better than creating a new one on the same topic
I almost got banned for making that argument on a software forum. They had a stupid system of marking topics as closed, but not locking them, and then getting stroppy if somebody posted something else later. Their advice - 'start a new thread'! Popular subjects came up in scores of threads where just one would have done the job and kept all the advice in one place.

Massive amounts of duplicate threads makes searches completely useless
