Pitta Bread.

Felaffel, finely chopped up salad, and hummus, is the 'classic' pitta-filler. At least, that's our standard.

Oh, and they must be warmed up under the grill until they're just piping hot, but not toasted. They should still be soft and pliable, not crisped like boards. Heating them up straight from frozen works fine.

For a healthy option I like feta cheese, salad and dressing or turkey with salad.

You'll be pleased to hear that it was potato salad plus extras for the win

I was thinking about the potential of avocado when I tried it last night.
If anyone is interested I'll put up the recipe for the very tasty filling.

I think in the past I've been eating them "raw". Did scald the fingers a bit.

It's mad isn't it...who the hell is buying all the ruddy bread............?????? And friggin potatoes - some bugger has a stockpile...........

Chuck what you like on it........ just a couple naan in my local supermarket left last night..... and a couple of packs of baby potatoes...........

I don't know why people are panic buying. I haven't changed my shopping habits at all, and I've had no trouble getting bread or milk. Or anything else.

I like egg mayo in my pittas but falafel, tsatsiki and cold lamb are my favourite suggestions so far.

Sardines mashed with boiled eggs in mayonnaise, with a pinch of black pepper. Nearest equivalent to kedgeree in a sandwich and delicious.

Beefburger with some pieces of falafel, alfalfa sprouts and a dash of tehini. Had this in Camden Lock market once and have never forgotten the taste.
