Waiting to see whether car passes MOT. It's 9 - getting on a bit now. We've had it 5 years. Ususally keep our one and only car until it's about 10, and stuff generally starts going wrong with the ones we've had about now, so fingers crossed.

Assembling and using my new chainsaw to cut up some ash our neighbour has given us. I did the smaller stuff by hand and have now got some bits between 9" and 3 ft to tackle.
Ash does split in a most satisfying way when you whack it down the line of the grain with the axe.
Might get out for a few miles on the Harry Hall if it dries up.

daughter has a football match in the morning, so i might take my sons to the park in the afternoon, so the eldest can ride his bike.
