During the night some kind person has dug up a very large and beautiful fern out of our garden bit of extra land. All that is left is the hole it once lived in.They also trampled down a few other things.Well as Victor would say 'I don't believe it'.
Plant burglars what next.

I had a large pot plant that sat by my front door, taken.
I informed the Police (felt like an idiot but they took it seriously and even checked the cctv across the road at the chip shop).
Needless to say we didn't get it back but it's so frustrating.
We don't have a lot of money but wouldn't steal. No morals these days!

Several years ago we had a large plant nicked from outside the side door (same street as Postman) what made things worse was that we were looking after it while its owner was away touring for six months.

My wife found it by chance in the next street the day after.

I bought some nice plants from B&Q a few years ago, spent ages planting them, got up the next day to find some lowlife had dug them up.
The thing is I am on a new estate with no through road, so it must have been a neighbour.

I remember several years ago when Falkirk Council tried to spruce up a couple of roundabouts with plants and displays. They had hanging baskets and large iron hangers. After a couple of weeks these inevitably went missing. Several months after that I was on a bus that went round "The Valley", a particularly rough area of Westquarter and in the front garden of a house were these hanging baskets and iron hangers!

Wrong inference. You'd be amazed at the n'er do wells that lurk about in the night.
