Please dont take offence I could not resist the temptation
... and that's why I'm looking forward to Winter down under (and the fact that our weather's ridiculously hot and dry this 'Autumn')the good weather is approaching, the fair weather cyclists are starting to emerge from their winter hibernation, they are already starting to **** me off, every time I pass one I seem to find either they have speeded up and are sucking my wheel a hundred yards down the road or they bust a gut to sprint past but then blow up and are travelling even more slowly when I pass them again.
Was considering the same: let's keep them till April, just in case(Don't talk about the end of the ice season - the weather lady mentioned potential snow when talking about next week's weather - just when I was thinking about taking the spikes off the spare bike).
Should I cut out the cake you think?I always stay behind you pat, you act as a windbreaker![]()
Keep meaning to do that ... but I have to find the non-snowy image first (and not on my daughters laptop that I'm using at the moment). Anyway I'm just trying to be the first santa avatar of 2013Will you be removing the santa hat from your avatar at the same time?
i took the heavy commuter to work the other day ,whilst pondering how much harder it was i was spinning up a wee hill (possil rd if yr local and know it ),i was not going fast at all (10 mph ),two lycra clad club riders came sailing past (i think it was father and son ),and as it was up hill i excused myself as being on a s***ty bike, caught them at the lights ,and we set off together ,i put in a wee bit of effort (well to me anyway )got about 200 yds up the road ,looked round and they were right beside me ,the father was riding no hands and taking his gilet off i think ,no effort whatsoever and i was puffing and panting ,i was prob doing 17-18 mph at this point ,obv he had finished showing off his no no handed skills ,then both put a bit of pace on and sprinted away !! no way i could get on their tale ,i reckon they were doing 25 mph or so ,at the next set of lights i filtered up beside them ,i was totally goosed and breathing like a sex pest down a phone ,them ,cool as u like ,not panting or anything fiddling with his glasses,i branched off and left them to it ,outgunned big style

This morning there were a number of riders heading for Holme Moss really early; I'm usually one of the first up the hill at about 8am on a Saturday
They seemed to be mostly in a club; so I caught them and then realised most were over 60. Felt bad then ... for about 10 seconds
Mind you, an old [Pat - note, 'old' to me is 60+] lady passed me in the outside lane of the dual-carriageway uphill to the M62 out of Leeds one day. I stared as I'd passed her a mile or so back ... and then realised she was on an electric bike.
Nice one!I have now changed it and decided to go straight to the Red Nose version!!! (I will try to remember to change it next week!)
