Number two!

While we are waiting for someone to post about the slackness of the chain ...
I quite like that bike, but you do seem to have your saddle low and your handlebars high. Do you like a really upright position, or do you have short legs and long arms?
chain feels ok but I could tighten it a bit more I guess. That sounds about right. I ride 58 cm too and I'm 6' 1".The frame is the right size for me, 58cm, and I'm 6' tall.
I like riding my S/S too, but I keep it with my family in the Midlands where it is a lot flatter. I wouldn't fancy the hills round here on it!I must say that so far I'm enjoying riding a single speed more that I could ever imagine. The simplicity of it all it's priceless. So far, only one hill has got the better of me but I'm sure that with a little more practice and few pounds less I'll be able to conquer it.
I have a similar saddle position to Colin, but i'm 6ft. What is important with saddle height is inside leg length rather than full body height!
..... incidentally, he said the second largest group is here in Bournemouth!!! I've seen quite a few SS, specially at weekends but not sure about being the second largest group in the world
Right, well I only have 32.5 - 33" legs so I am pretty certain that your saddle is way too low and you will feel a lot better riding with it higher.I'll review the seat position tomorrow.
My inside leg length is about 33 and a bit" so I guess guys you might be right about the height of my saddle.

Having said that, try raising it in small increments, say 0.5" at a time and ride it like that for a week or so to give your body a chance to get used to the new position. I think you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.
