Please recommend a music download site

Hello. This might seem like something I could google or should already know, but it doesn't seem to be that simple.
I have used 7digital in the past but their service has been unsatisfactory.
I don't want Spotify or Apple; I want a legitimate download site and don't mind paying for my music.

Amazon still have a download store. That's who I used to use before streaming (8-10 years ago)

I'm guessing you want to own the music so that you can play it offline etc? Well you can still do that with streaming services, but I get that some people just don't like doing it. However, it seems to me that it's an expensive way of doing things unless you only wish to buy no more than 1 album per month and listen to nothing else but the music you have bought.

It has a download option, and some shows will come down as an MP3 to listen offline.

12 albums a year is plenty (dunno how old you are Andy, but anyone 30+ would have a pretty large collection on that basis!)
For variety beyond that, I can listen to the radio.

Mp3million works and seems good value.

Bandcamp. Mostly underground and up&coming artists. A lot of stuff can be downloaded for free and if you pay, the artist gets a better chunk than most other streamers offer.

depending on what you want Bandcamp is a good one
you won't get the commercial stuff but heaps of good music on there
