Please recommend an MP3 player for a mk7 Golf

As per the title. I already have one but it has developed a little bit of unreliability. Also the car bluetooth has never recognised it, although this isn't a problem: I connect it by USB and can skip tracks and choose shuffle on the car screen.

I've got the impression somewhere that some MP3 players will not link up with the car audio.

*I will not be using a smartphone; I like dedicated MP3 players.

Thats what I do, just plug in a stick, the car's got a CD player but I've never used it and I don't know if it even works.

Yes ! You can even get small micro sticks, but our USB is tucked away in the centre arm rest so doesn't matter. It's a bit fussy about some formats/sizes.

Those short USB sticks would be spot-on for mine, thanks for bringing them to my attention.
