Very much un. Filthy stomach pain just didn't go away, only remitted slightly.

In retrospect there might have been warning signs - I've been feeling run down but put it down to other factors.

My mum had the same problem. I went to visit her in the hospital after the operation to remove the gallstone and she had it in a jar on her bedside table ...

Spoiler: UGH!

It was a horrid great green thing the size of my thumb!!!

She made a rapid recovery after that.

Sorry to hear of your pain and suffering.

Get well soon, and once healthy, take yourself and good wife to a warmer climate to overdose on vitamin D for a week or two. You need to replace the sickly yellow colour with a nice shade of orange.
