I witnessed something similar in Dublin once when a woman in a Merc coupe pulled out across the path of a motorcyclist and bike and rider went flying.

He had no serious injuries but what I couldn't believe was the woman got out of her Merc and instead of checking on the man she had drove into, she got down on her knees to examine the dent in her front wing.

I was knocked off my motorbike a couple of times, the last time was when a driver pulled out of a petrol station and straight into me. I was lying in the road and she came over and started shouting at me "look what you've done to my car".

Gave up motorbikes after that and stuck with bicycles - much safer!

I haven't watched the video btw, that sort of thing is too gruesome for me.

Like gb155 I've seen it on one of those traffic cop shows before. Driver sees police car, rubbernecks, doesn't notice what's in front of them - car, bike, bollard etc!
