Two at a time with swirling is ok. They do coalesce but you have to split them when they're done with whatever you get them out with (I'm a slotted spoon man myself). Don't look quite as good as singles but it's deffo doableNo swirling necessary, it limits you to one egg at a time.
If your eggs are not perfectly fresh, crack them onto a slotted spoon so the watery gunk drains off. Then poach as normal.
