I knew someone at university that had a Robin
he used to offer people a lift into town - and then charge them
but from what they said the normal ones (well - normal for a RObin) needed those outriggers anyway!
I always walked or took my bike - seemed safer and often quicker!

I mean - who though this was a good idea
the driver is OK - but the petrol tanker in the next lane might blow up

Seems a bit pointless as manufacturers are slowly adopting LiFePo4
chemistry which is immune to going up like that.
