Pointless & impractical vehicles

My friends brand new Defender 130 (£125k with extras).

Purchased as they (older married couple, no kids or dogs and definitely not an 'active lifestyle duo) as they "feel safer" in a large car.

Sod anyone in smaller (or even no) cars then!

I've looked down on a few of them rrom my van.

Google reckons it's a design concept (yes, from 2012) rendered in 3d. From what I can see it's not clear if anyone actually made one.
