Ah ok, well i reckon a cop shouting 'oi stop!' Or 'get off the pavement' would be enough for most people.

I think that we used to be frightened of the police - or at least have respect for them. I know I was brought up to be. At one time it you'd wonder what you were doing wrong if a policeman so much as looked at you.

I don't think there is that respect/fear/wariness at all now.

One overtook me in Regent's park on Wednesday, giving me less than a foot of space. I had a bloody good go at him. I don't think it helped.

TBH, I started off with respect. I want Plod to enforce the rules.
Then over the years I have experience of them, which is reinforced by living and working close to Orgreave, Hillsborough etc.
It’s enough to make you understand if not condone those who take the law into their own hands.

True and Im sure popping the siren on for half a second wouldve taken them away from that rapist they were tailing...
Perhaps they aren't allowed to use the siren in that way? I've no idea about this but it could be the case. I suppose. Perhaps? Any coppers in today?
