I trust you all acknowledge polite car drivers. I give a thumbs up even when they are just holding back on a small road etc.

Always give a thumbs up or a nod to say thanks when drivers are polite, hoping that they keep at it

I have recently had someone contact me on YT. It appears that they saw me the other day and they said about how they drive very carefully around cyclists.
I then found out which car they were driving and it turns out that I have actually singled them out as a good driver (surprisingly a taxi!). They waited behind me for about half a mile through some pinch points and I thanked them as they passed me.
