Why do politicians continue to use the word , " honourable", when addressing each other during prime ministers question time and various debates ? They are all money grabbing and corrupt, which are the essential requisites required to become a member of the elitist millionaires club.

It's just a tradition/protocol. Only the speaker may address Members by name, in all other circs it's either their constiuency (eg Chris Heaton-Harris is Honourable Member for Daventry) or their Ministerial title. Abolishing it would, apart from being turkeys vote for Xmas territory, require invention of some other term. In case of MPs the term is only used in the House. If I wrote to Mr Heaton Harris I'd address letter to Mr HH or forename/surname Esq if being slightly old fashioned.

A few others have title The Hon. (and which would be used in formal correspondence) of which the most prominent are judges of the High Court. Same applies to certian children of hereditary titles but were I needing to differentiate a Marquess's offspring from those of a Viscount I'd have to look it up.

Not all those pics are what they say they are. One of those photos was taken in 2010. There was a big essay about these particular pics a while back.

I don't believe that politicians are honorable and that you can tell when they are lying as their lips move.

If I may be allowed a dissenting voice? It is of course easy - as well as popular - to write them off as a bunch of etcs, but I think on the whole politicians do a demanding and thankless job for the right sort of reasons and with dedication and integrity. There are bad'uns, of course, as there are in any walk of life, but I bet you'd find that the average backbench MP went into politics for the same reason people become local councillors, school governors or any other of the mind-numbing jobs that I'd rather not touch with a barge pole: because they want to help make things better.
