I never quite understood the point of Swiss chocolate.

You will in the roof of your mouth if you try and eat a large enough Toblerone the wrong way!!:excl:

Because you wouldn't want to arrive home after a trip abroad, and announce "look children, see what I brought you? It's a huge ........ Twix ."

This sounds like the voice of experience talking here!! :giggle:

Twix, since you cant drink Tea through a toblerone

That has just given me quite a most bizarre mental image, thanks!:cuppa:

I think if it was something more interesting than a twix there would be a clear winner. Maybe a cream egg. Or a Starbar.

I've eaten many Toblerones <pats belly> and have never injured myself in the process.

How can you injure yourself with a bar of chocolate? Perhaps people are getting confused by trying to eat the other famous Swiss creations like cuckoo clocks and army knives:wacko:
You can't get fun size Toblerone. Boring b******s.
You get mini toblerones (one or two triangles in size I think) in one of those boxes of small versions of sweets (not sure which one, maybe "Heroes") - I only discovered this last year; they are very good. Much better size than proper size as it does not involve "wedging" yourself in the roof of your mouth when eating it!

Edit - here you go, they are 3 triangles: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toblerone-Mini-200g-Bag/dp/B00BP92X14

I would call a Twix a biscuit and have gone for Toblerone.

Twix has always annoyed me, as with the thread title everyone says "a twix" but there are two of them. Should it not be a pair of twixes?

If you have "a twix" then you are only getting one bar.

If you mum is feeling mean then you have a bar each with your sister and feel hard done by. Otherwise if you buy it yourself then you have to be a greedy pig and eat both bars. Somehow no one can save the second one for later.
So nothing but trauma and gluttony with a twix.

Toblerone, but only if it's big enough to:
 • Eat each segment (triangle? mountain? alp?) as if it were a chocolate bar in it's own right.
 • Have large chunks of nougat so I can let the chocolate dissolve, then chew the nougat.
Failing that, I'll have a Whole Nut (or supermarket equivalent). Or plain chocolate digestives. Or dark Choco Leibnitz...
