Oooo, I love these threads. Anything for a chance to root through the collection.

I see Gwen's had a mention but can't see that Christina Aguilera has been called so I'll nominate Ain't No Other Man but could easily be persuaded that it should be Candyman, Dirrty or Fighter.

Manic Street Preachers - Tsunami

Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag

Which, as we're doing pop, is an excuse to get some Girls Aloud - both their version of Teenage Dirtbag and Biology.

Katy Perry - I kissed a Girl

Little Boots - New In Town

Soooo many. Nothing yet from Robbie, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Arctic Monkeys, White Stripes... Great thread. ;)

Foo Fighters-Breakout
Arctic Monkeys-I bet that you look good..
Linkin Park-Points of Authority
Nickelback-Rockstar
Pendulum-propane nightmares
Paolo Nutini-Pencil full of lead
Jedward-Ghost busters:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Pop songs people, pop songs. If that means ones that get a regular play on music radio...
Amy Winehouse - Rehab - although, at the time, everyone was talking about Amy Winehouse and I had no idea that she was the singer on this ;)

Kate Nash - Foundations - what a beautiful songalonga...

Basshunter - Every Morning Classic happy.

I must have liked more, but the crusty memory for anything, not just pop needs a bit of raking over.

purely on the pop theme(and both guilty pleasures) Lily Allen - Smile. pretty much anything Girls Aloud put out

favourite songs of the decade

7 nation army - White Stripes.
Heavyweight champion of the world - Reverend and the Makers.
Kiss with a fist - Florence and the Machine.
Hurt - Johnny Cash.

and whilst I'm boring for England - Musical Highlight - I got to see The Specials perform live.

it would take Joe Strummer, Jimi Hendrix or Phil Lynott coming back to life to come close to that for me.

Good call shouldbeinbed! I like the White Stripes but not what I might call pop, as in 'kids on the bus singing along' sort of thing. But what do I kno?;)

And Zizou's Destiny's Child track is 'up there' - I might add 'Say My Name' - which was an earlier offering that sounded much the same!

And the Paolo Nuttini is like a modern day Robert Palmer!

Good thread FM - a real time-waster!

Only that one song though, all others have been garbage;)

Fair enough, though that song did make me want to find the band and kill them all very painfully too.

And you cannot be serious about Kid Rock, surely! That is just the worst example of beatjacking since I'll be Missing You by Puff Daddy. All it is is a barely competent rap over Sweet Home Alabama...

Blurggghhh.......hated that awful rip off of a song, terrible.

KT Tunstall - Black Horse In A Cherry Tree - blew me away when she first appeared on Jools Holland, quite original I thought. I like that Kate Nash one too.

More of a rock fan tbh Foo's,GnR's,Muse, but listen to R1(Moyles) every day so hear a lot of chart music, that song just stuck in my head when it was out instantly catchy.
Used to be a huge Madonna fan in the 80's and 90's so i've always liked cheesy music:smile:
