I enjoyed Egypt and our cruise down the Nile, but we've also visited New York, I didn't like the place and I've no wish to go back, closer to home I've visited both Blackpool and Skegness and I don't want to visit either again, and I'm not interested in visiting India. Theres probably a few others as well.

Another one who has no desire to go skiing.
Tried it once. Spent one morning on the slopes and that was it. The rest of the week was off piste...
You ought to give skiing another chance. On a good day, it's way better than riding a bike.
I do both equally badly BTW.

I've never tried skiing but it's shite.

I read once that Stan Laurel, when on his deathbed, had the following conversation:

Stan: I'd rather be skiing
Nurse: Oh you ski, Mr Laurel?
Stan: No, but I'd rather be skiing

As an x-Cornishman I concur. To many bleedin emmets and wannabe surfers in the Summer.

but go 5 miles out of Newquay and its great, away from it all camping in a field . although i prefer Lizard peninsula for that true middle of nowhere feel when its dark and a clear night so you can see the stars. many a happy moment flat on back silly grin on my face on the lizard watching the stars whizz by ( OK i know its the earth rotation and its orbit through space )

Blackpool. Eurgh.

Went in October half term with my son a few years ago, never again.

Its a chav filled, stinking, filthy hovel.

You should have come down the coast to Southport, which is a slightly up market chav filled, stinking, filthy hovel. Scratch the glossy facade, it's rotten to the core.

Trouble with camping in Cornwall is, if you want to go in the school holidays you need to take out a second mortgage. Camp site owners down there are a set of robbing bar stewards.

Nope, never again. It will never be better then riding a bike
Snow - hate it. Hate it with a passion.
Can't understand why people pay good money to play in the cold in the snow.

It makes no sense at all. Much like buying an expensive bike to ride in the cold and dark.

As a general point, many of the places quoted in the UK have absolutely lovely spots just a few miles away. Though I do admit a certain nostalgic fondness for the Blackpool illuminations.

Copacabana. I avoid it like the plague when in Brazil. Cariocas are experts at fleecing gringoes.

I've been skiing 3 times, the first two were school trips so I thought I'd give it another chance...nope, not for me, boring and the only things that would alleviate that would be outside of my personal risk/reward scales.

Snow is for pretty pictures and kids to make snowmen and do some sledging.

Or, like one of my more distant relatives, end up in a wheelchair with only limited use of one hand. Her immediate family still go skiing each year though.
