Not been too happy in my new job, too much time spent driving around, being stuck in traffic. I'm missing cycling to work especially now its summer.

Bumped into a couple of friends last night who run their own veg box delivery business. They have a 3 acer plot that's getting a bit out of hand, both have part-time jobs elsewhere so need a third pair of hands to keep things on track. So have offered me a part-time role, just 3 days a week, which is ideal because I can fit it round a college course.

Going to look at the place this evening to see if I will like working for them. I could also possibly keep bees there as well, providing myself with a little bit of money selling honey and other bee products.

I'm looking into finding funding for doing a combined agriculture and horticulture course, though its looking like its going to be a little hard finding anything due to already having a degree in Archaeology. The people at the open day yesterday were not very helpful.

Does anyone have any advice on getting funding from outside sources, such as scholarships etc?

Public libraries used to have a handbook/directory of charities and trusts that covered a raft of activities. It might be worth starting there.

Is there nothing down the archeology route? Or is it that you just do not wish to do anything to do with it..

(Only ask as I am POSSIBLY looking at archeology)

Archaeology is hard to get into, have to a have deep pockets and be willing to volunteer for 6 months or more. Plus if you like staying in one place, moving around all the time can be pretty traumatic.

I'm desperate to post warnings about how you'll get a real buzz out of it, be careful not to get stung, make sure you don't get hives etc etc etc but I'm waiting for someone else to start so I don't get the blame. Honey.
