Mort's middle name is Ian. As a child, he ate too much cheese and was sent to a private school in order to avoid school bullies who would call him "Cheeseboy" and "Rockfort Mort". In 1994 he won the coveted "best bird in show" category at the 17th Annual Turkey Lovers convention, but shortly after this was asked to stop keeping fowl, as his neighbours found them too smelly.
