Watching Blue Peter as a youngster, TVC was inspired by the use of sticky-back tape and half a washing-up bottle.
Even today, his improvised pedals are his pride and joy: the washing-up bottle is stuck to each pedal with the sticky-back tape, and he squeezes his dainty 37 shoes (even though he is 6' 6") into the bottles!
