That is partly true actually - I used to work mining toffee for Thornton's with a big hammer. There was a Pit for every different flavour, but I was normally put to work in the Treacle Toffee Mine.

Archie on the other hand, got his first job in the Polomint Factory, and once, albeit very briefly, and with security clearance, actually set eyes on the legendary machine which knocks the middles out!

He could swear it was being operated by an Umpa Lumpa, but then again, he had been on the Wine Gums all day.
