Typical Spain. Sun, blue skies, clear roads. Via de la Plata halfway.

Brilliant fun ride. Start at altitude 4600m. 43 miles with descent of 2 miles.

I enjoyed it but a few weeks later the risk was brought home to me when a Bolivian told me a couple riding it the following week didn't do so well - the girlfriend didn't find what happened until she regained consciousness a few days later when they could tell her that her boyfriend died after going over the edge.
