If you suffer from low blood sugar then yes that's the shakes .. shaky hands etc .. I've encountered this through the winter, I use some Kendall mint cake or the old dextrose tablets that give a quick fix ..

Doesnt happen though till after breakfast though so i have food and warmth but im still physically cold not shaky

I suppose winter time when we ride calories are burnt at greater rate due to fact body is cold, I tend to rehydrate less as well if I'm cold, my appetite to drink water or refuel isn't the same as warmer or milder rides ..

I too often find that after exercising in cold weather that I return home in a kind of cold sweat and take ages to warm up again, even after getting changed and eating it can take a good hour or so to feel better.
