Hi there, yep we have a van with us all the way down. First week is camping then the second and third week there are just a couple of camp nights. Good idea about the converter cable, that way it would save on carrying more UK 4plugs. Bloody Europe 
Will prob just take our standard 2pin plug to UK, then plug in to that at hotels Then use the camping one at the campsites. Let the van take the strain.
