Power vs Weight ratio

Went for a little evening jaunt last nite and suddenly got a hello as a roadie came past me. He was a big chap, must have been about 18stone (i'm 14stone and he was quite a bit bigger than me!) but was going at a decent pace.

So, if you were dressed in red going up the A38 out of Bristol and turning left towards Almondsbury just after the M5, cheers for the hello and fair play to you!

I do that all the time Trusty- then when out of sight, turn left and collapse in a heap by the side of the road.

I always say .. it's the weight that gives momentum when they wind up the big ':eek:fat:B)' gear on the dead flat.. when it creeps up to a hidden drag.. then you can reel 'em back in......
well thats my theory anyway

Have a large mate who can fly along on the flat, thighs like pistons on a steam engine. But as soon as he hits an incline he goes backwards!

ahem..........we don't go backwards, we're just not as efficient at going uphill.

Well, that's my excuse.;)
