Sorry but I'm removing myself from the running for this one. Had the lurgy all Xmas, just back on my feet so doubt I'm up for an overnighter to Brighton on Friday. Getting to Croydon for work on Friday will be tough enough I think

Have to say, unless the forecast winds do not materialise, I'll almost certainly be bailing too. Wet, not too bad (even if I'll have been rained on all day, then all Friday night, then Saturday...). But those wind speeds sound, frankly, dangerous.

I'm sorry, but the cold that arrived on Christmas Eve has now moved to my chest, so unless there's a medical miracle today or tomorrow I'm going to have to pull out of this one. A damp and windy night ride would not be the best medicine. I might try to get up to town for the Saturday gig or the Sunday London ride, but will make a call on that tomorrow night I think. Sorry.
