Pre-show dinner in London..recommendations?

Me and the Other 'alf are off up to London to see War Horse next month. I thought I'd be all romantic and treat her to a day of shopping around Covent Garden and suchlike, then a meal before the show. The thing is I haven't the foggiest of where to take her. We both like good old English food, Indian or Italian, but are open to other suggestions, except Chinese, if the restaurant is nice. I would say a budget £60-100 for the two of us plus drinks would be about right. Any thoughts?

I'd avoid English or Indian - the good Indian restaurants are all out of the centre of town, and the English tends to be stodge aimed at tourists. There are good Italians around, and you might consider French, such as The Garrick. I've only ever been there for cheap steak & chips lunches, but they were good, and good value, and it's a nice place.

Yep I had problems recommending a decent Brasserie/English around there as it's often a bit poor.
