Happy belated 65th birthday PK!

The joy of winning... + a decent return for accessible savings.

1.5% annual average pay-out compared to 0.1% from banks and building societies!

It is changing though, dropping to 1% from 1.4%, chances of winning going from 1 in 24500 to 1 in 34500. Still, if all of the savings account are dropping their rates as well, still might be worth a pop. I've been thinking about it for a while, think I might risk moving some savings.

I put a few quid in a couple of months ago, after reading something on here.

After yesterday's announcement of the huge interest rate drops in their Income Bond Account I might just put that money into PBs too.

I would be happy with a similar return to vickster's 2%.

I was ahead of my expected statisticall returns for quite a while but the last few months has seen that reverting to the norm.
I reinvest each months winnings as they go into the following months draw, whereas purchased bonds miss the following months draw.

I haven't had any prizes for probably a couple of years now. I've a couple of accounts with better interest rates than that so I might be cashing mine in soon. Though I suppose a couple have sentimental value - my granda used to buy them for us.
