My grandparents bought about £15 worth of premium bonds for me in 1972.

I have never had any sort of prize at all. Checked, registered etc, nothing.

That’s unusual but I do get £25 or £50 most months
Same here , much better than interest rates or old steel road bikes ^_^

Good return then, 2%+
I put a few quid in a couple of months ago, after reading something on here.

After yesterday's announcement of the huge interest rate drops in their Income Bond Account I might just put that money into PBs too.

I would be happy with a similar return to vickster's 2%.
Like you I have the maximum invested, and over the last year I have had £225 back, so not a bad return.

Am I missing something? 2% of 50k is a grand. £225 is 0.45%.

You are of course correct.

I was meaning vickster's level of return for a much reduced stake ^_^

I had £500 in for a year, didn't win anything so withdrew it in disgust
Oh well, hopefully you found somewhere else for it with some interest 👍
I’m not sure how it works with small invstments as the minimum prize is £25 and they state around 2% return or something, which on £500 would clearly be less than £25
