Same here , much better than interest rates or old steel road bikesThat’s unusual but I do get £25 or £50 most months
Similar for my sister. She bought the maximum holding once bank interest rates dropped below the average return on PBs.That’s unusual but I do get £25 or £50 most months
My grandparents bought about £15 worth of premium bonds for me in 1972.
I have never had any sort of prize at all. Checked, registered etc, nothing.
I remember seeing once that the lowest holding to win the million was £17, so I had a google to see if I remembered correctly and I did. I found this page which makes reasonably interesting reading if you are a bond holder.

Good return then, 2%+
I put a few quid in a couple of months ago, after reading something on here.
After yesterday's announcement of the huge interest rate drops in their Income Bond Account I might just put that money into PBs too.
I would be happy with a similar return to vickster's 2%.
Like you I have the maximum invested, and over the last year I have had £225 back, so not a bad return.
You are of course correct.Am I missing something? 2% of 50k is a grand. £225 is 0.45%.
Ah, right. I thought my maths brain was malfunctioning or something. You are of course correct.
I was meaning vickster's level of return for a much reduced stake
Oops, that was me trying to be cleverAm I missing something? 2% of 50k is a grand. £225 is 0.45%.
Oh well, hopefully you found somewhere else for it with some interest 👍I had £500 in for a year, didn't win anything so withdrew it in disgust
