While I was getting ready to ride Mrs P said "Now there's something we should prepare for." She was listening to the Today programme yesterday. Something to do with power cuts or whatever. I've been tasked with buying 20 bags of smokeless briquettes for the MFS we use daily through winter and some candles.

I'd like to apologise for starting yet more panic buying to add to the supply crisis I inadvertently created earlier in the week. Locally supplies of rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes and passata have returned to normal.

Lancashire can breathe again.

I'm not enamoured at living on dried/tinned food for weeks never mind months on end so when the end of days comes, rather than face that plus the extreme heat/cold (no leccy), some mad axeman coming through the front door and/or pestilence and disease, I'll volunteer to be in the first wave of "casualties". You lot can then fight over the little I've left.
