Whatever happened to those party cans? Remember Watneys red barrel, what dreadful p*ss it was!
That was the era of terrible beer, before the fightback by (Gawd bless'em!) CAMRA. You seldom saw a hand pump - it was all button-pressing in the those day: wherever you went it was Double Diamond (works wonders) Worthington E and Watneys (roll out the) Red Barrel. Yum!

I remember the dark days in the mid-70s, when Richard Boston was an early real ale campaigner, writing a weekly column in the Guardian.
He jokingly suggested starting a campaign for real cheese in pubs too, joining forces with CAMRA as the Campaign for Real Ploughmans

Here for rides.
Real beer is £3.80 - £4.20 in my local The Jack Blug.

No idea what the yellow euro-fizz costs the lager boys though. Does flavour attract a price premium?

Marvellous range of whiskies too, the most expensive that I've tired is over £30 a shot.

Depending on what you get i guess, in the Camra approved pubs a pint of x can be anywhere between 2.80 to 3.60 the ciders usually come in more expensive.
sadly there are few and far between for Camra pubs in warrington and one of them has just shut
the other floods regularly heh.
