I picked this up originally Principia rs6 with the intention of stripping it and using the parts on another frame build up , but after doing 100+ miles on it to make sure everything works ok which it does . I have decided its too nice to strip , i would rather sell it and let somebody else use it .

From what i can make it looks to from around 2000 - 2006 and is made from Principia's own 7020 alloy tubing , with a set of there own carbon forks .

The frame size is a 51cm according to this page http://web.archive.org/web/20061210031103/http://www.principiabikes.com/pdf/Principia_bikes.pdf but i measured it and from centre of crank to top of seat tube is 48cm see page 15/18 on link . I lifted the seat tube up to 39" from the floor and swapped to a longer stem and have ridden it very enjoyably with no comfort issues at all . So would say it could be ridden by somebody up to 5ft 10" although slightly shorter would be more ideal and suited .

Its got a mixture of Shimano components ie dura ace calipers , dura ace flight deck sti units , tiagra front mechanism and a dura ace rear , whilst the crank is a Stronglight sportlight with 53/39 ducal rings and a plain black shimano non drive side crank arm .

Wheels are made up of a set of FRM hubs with a Ritchey aero front hub abd a very similar Ritchey offset rim aero rim shod with a pr of tired tyres .

Seat post is shimmed to take a 27.2 post and has 2 sets of bottle cage mounts . Top tube has a previous owners name shadowed on to it , i have tried light t cut to try and remove this to no avail , paintwork is good rather than immaculate , no dents or cracks as far as i know .

Please note i have done no work to this other than to set it up as best as i can for me , and i would suggest it needs a fresh set of tyres along with some slightly longer brakes cable where i have lifted the bars and the current ones just about reach .

Please note the bike does not come with the Selle smp saddle , clip on guards ,drinks bottles , lights or under saddle bag . A saddle will be provided as will a pr of clip in pedals .

Asking £150 collected from NN8 Wellingborough postcode or could be sent via a 2 day courier to most uk post codes for an extra £ 25

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
OK. I don't need another bike but it's a Principia. So ... before I do something silly I've a couple of questions:

The photo of the inside of the crank shows brown ' is this just dirt or corrosion marks?

Also what length are the cranks and ring size?

Finally - someone buy it before I do!
