If carbon fibre were as fragile as some people would have you believe the roadside at and mass participation event would be littered with broken bikes. Maybe I led a sheltered life but I've never seen one and the two pairs of carbon fibre forks I used for nearly a decade bounced down enough potholes without any problem. Ride it, crash it and don't worry about it, get back up and ride it again.
