Barely a few months in and iv already sidewall cracks on both tyres. I was warned when I bought them that they might get sidewall failure but I never thought it would be within the first few hundred miles. Hopefully Planet X will refund me once they open the images on the email come tomorrow morning.
Disappointed as they seem a really good tyre and I have recommended them to a lot of people.

Feel ur pain...

I "invested" in three sets of these when they were on offer, and all cracked within 500 miles.
Pieces of poo they are, phoned the uk rep and they said I should send them too him and he'd "see what he can do", nice customer service skills.

Won't touch michelin ever ever again, back on the continentals now.

Ive had 4 of them and same thing with the sidewalls one within 5 miles, if you email michelin direct youll get free replacements, best tyres ive ever had performance wise but they are truly sh*t at keeping themselfs together, after these two go ill meber buy them again

Excuse the dirty whites of the tyre. Got caught in the rain the other day and haven't wiped them down as yet. Planet X emailed back and said its general wear of the tyre.....disgusting customer service and I shall be going direct to Michelin now

It may have been planet x i bought my first set from and they said the same, email michelin direct youll get a replacement as i said above, i did get a measily £10 back from the shop ( think it was planet x) when i said they were classed as unfit for purpose by law

My Pro4's have 4,500+ miles on them. 3 of my cycling mates are also using them and all without fault, I think Michelin make great tyres in general. Of my friends who have had sidewall failures Continentals are the usual culprits in my experience...

Unless its through the casing that doesnt look too bad.

I think its a bit unrealistic to expect a replacement tyre for that after you've been using it for months

I can't see what's wrong with that tyre. The white paint has crazed a little under expansion or the effects of UV but I wouldn't be worried about that.

Nothing wrong with that tire.

Ultremo zxs Peel side wall string and manufacturer says that it is fine and not to worry.
