Hey peeps hope u can help I had a new crank crown gear and bottom bracket, I'm new to all this so a bit clueless, I went of a bike ride today and the pedal arm fell off, its a shimano deora with the hole tube in the middle I don't know but it looks like it's meant to hav a bolt right though the middle to hold the pedal arms on but not sure?

Cheers for any help

No, a deore crank like you describe sounds like a hollowtech. The hole on the left hand side will be threaded on the inside. You put the left crank arm on, add in the plastic preload cap, do it up tight with a 1/4 inch drive. Then tighten up the pinch bolts on the crank arm to the correct torque.

See exploded diagram..... have you still got the plastic bolt at figure 1?
