I'm going through my own health scare at the moment, so I can fully understand what your going through. As you say it's not only the effect on yourself but on the wider family. I feel as through I'm dealing with my own issues very well, but my wife was in a terrible state. She is scared to leave my side at the moment.

I've been meaning to do the same for the critical care maternity ward; things got VERY scary and they were astounding.

Sorry to hear it. I'll never forget the look on my Mum's face when she first saw me in critical care.

That’s great. My reply was a little tongue in cheek. Had really good treatment when I had the misfortune to be in hospital.

Earlier this year my wife had 2 stroke attacks although she made a full recovery .
