So I have just been delivered my new (second hand) Tricross.
As the first 21st century bike I have ever owned, I'm smiling like a Cheshire cat !
Ok, so unfortunately there are no pedals, the BB5s badly need adjusting and a few other bits ... but yey, the main thing is 'I have a bike'.
One of the things I noticed, that the stock Specialized Boroughs have been replaced with 'Onza Allegra' tyres.
I googled them and it appears that they are not brilliant tyres - pity.
One curious thing I noticed, was some unusual print on the tyres:
"WARNING : Prototype tire for testing purposes only. Not for resale. Not for general use."
Has anyone seen this kind of labelling before ?
I guess mostly I am curious more than anything else.
Maybe not being able to actually ride my bike (no pedals) has led my excitement to get boil over into tyre fascination instead ?
Or maybe having been cheated of my pedals, I am just trying to see what else the cheap b******d has dumped me with
