It isn't an illness, it is a hard wired personality defect. I saw the vindictive streak in him when I was 3 years old...one of my first andenduring memories.

Fair enough...I defer to his expertise. All sounds pretty horrible.
I've no doubt about the 'hard-wired' bit. A friend of mine's son has Asbergers, and in an analogous way, there's absolutely no way he could ever 'get over it', whatever help he received. He just is that way. When a teacher tells him he has to pull his socks up, he reaches down for his socks.

Psycho Brother is in the top 1% in IQ...was tipped to go to Cambridge when he was 10 when he won a scholarship to a private school...got expellled at 14 when he knocked another lads teeth out with a headbutt because the kid slighted him a couple of days before. Doesn't like being told what to do. Is incredibly devious as well.
