Cut out the middleman and do what I do, make your own inner tubes from scratch entirely out of puncture patches.

Supposedly latex tubes take patches best because the rubber cement is more compatible with latex than with butyl. Having patched a latex tube, I think this is true - the patch grabbed it a lot better and didn't try to lift at the edges.

I took this off a BMX brought to me by one of the kids down here. Repair proved impossible.

fwiw - my MTB tubes each have a patch. twice a year I check on them when I swap the winter tires on & off
