Putney Bridge - is there a real Troll living there ?

Apparently. That's what TFL say on the info about the bridge works. I haven't been that way myself yet though.

I'll be crossing tonight for the first time this week. A lot of roadies use it during the rush hour - a long walk in cleats! Would have hoped they'd have left room for a cycle lane, but I guess that would have taken too much common sense!

It was not fun! Narrow pavement with a single file of pedestrians in each direction, many with bikes southbound. Police making sure cyclists dismount but so little space, you had no choice.

Never mind the Trolls... How deep and wide would the potholes have to be to actually drop straight through the bridge, into the river and hit one of the Water Babies?

the bridge is on the route of the London 100 in afew weeks time. The council have said they will provide a route for the bike ride, although it will have to be wider than 1 metre as there are 25,000 bikes in the main ride, and a professional bike race afterwards. It will need to be at least 5 metres wide.
