So just the other day, I found out I could cycle without touching the bars for 1 - 2 miles without much bother, I could also steer around potholes and corners without too much fuss. I want to try and practice putting on and taking off my waterproofs without stopping, but I have a feeling that I will get a sleeve jammed in the back wheel, is there a trick to it? Or should I just try it and see what happens?

I've seen Spandex take his waterproof off and nonchalently lean back, unzip his rack pack, stuff his jacket in and zip it up again. Git! So, yes, it is possible.

Changing gear when riding a bike should be very easy (unless you ride a fixie or single-speed, of course).

funny old world, if we saw car drivers take their hands off the wheel ......

Car drivers can't control the car with their backsides when they take their hands off the wheel, they are also sitting in a 2 ton box, and travelling at around 30mph, if they hit someone, they will probably kill them.

My 15lb bike is a little bit less threatening ;)

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I can take mine off and bung it in a pocket , so i guess i could do it in reverse.

Talking of which how cheaply could i get a windproof gilet for? I jhave a lidl gilet but its too thick for what i want, i just need something thin i can bung in a pocket.

Good grief, I can barely unzip mine a little when it gets too hot without wobbling and heading straight for the nearest hedge / pothole

An ability that for some reason I've lost with age.

Don't know why

Apart from that you're mad, but don't worry about it - all the best people are.

I find that I can take my gilet on and off without stopping
But usually is it is easier and possibly quicker to just stop and put it on. When I am putting on a gilet I tend to go slower. Taking it off is easier
Never tried it with a coat. Maybe I should give it a go

try it with a gilet first - no sleeves to get arm stuck in or tangles in back wheel!

I've been looking at a cheapy on ebay cos my rain jacket is too hot for days like today but my chest was cold without. About 14-18 quids.
