5000 miles for me so far this year, with 335,000 feet climbing: I have a hilly and reasonably long commute.

I've done 4,154 miles so far, which is 16.7% of the distance around the Earth at the equator. No idea where it will get me. Like others, I've done more miles on the bikes this year than in the van, much the same as last year. It's the commuting miles that add up, and combined with using the bike for popping up the high street saves about £1000 a year in diesel and parking costs.

You'd be just off the coast of Western Australia, assuming you could cycle through the Himalayas and over the ocean.

Or should that be, over the Himalayas and through the ocean?

Edit : or Antarctica!

Would much prefer a westwards direction. So somewhere Stateside maybe. :okay:

Well.. looks like Hawaii.. or some other Pacific island.

5800 miles!!! Now that's some serious time in the saddle buddy. You could put it another way in that you've cycled from San Francisco all the way to central Brazil .The mind boggles at that amazing feat of pedal power :-)
Thanks @johnnyb47 . My milage amazes me . I couldn't comprehend cycling from San Fransisco to Brazil but I've done it . My milage has slowly upped thanks to the encouragement on here , Commuting by bike about 3 times a week and extending the 16 mile round trip has upped the milage . Most of us who do big milage will be cycle commuters it just racks up the miles

Out of the 8000 miles I have completed this year so far. Commuting is 4297 miles. I am a little surprised as it's worked out just over half the cycling amount. I didn't realise I had done so many leisure miles this year.

Oh, I have found a tool! It didn't work on my phone, but it works fineon the laptop.

And for @ianrauk, 8000 miles is about where you couldn't get to (Cape Horn, Australasia and Antarctica) not where you could.

And my lessor distance really highlights the flaws in the Mercator projection.
