It's a clever idea. But my 9 year old 40" LCD Toshiba's doing fine.

So is my 24" CRT Sony TV. Forgotten when I bought it. Prob about 17 years ago. Whoops, that's jinxed it.

It's a typo anyway, should be OLED......
Actually, it isn't! :okay:

The picture quality of OLED/QLED is supposed to be wonderful, but I have read a few worrying reports of 'burn-in' on those screens. Channel 'DOGS' remaining after changing to other channels, that kind of thing.

The fact that Samsung are 'inviting' buyers to join their 2 year 'upgrade' program, might not just be a way of selling more sets, it might also be a way of dealing with screens suffering that problem!

I stand corrected!

Made by Samsung... I think I'll leave it then... It will work for 13 months... Better buying a supermarket own brand one..

Our Samsung LED tv is at least 8 years old and still going strong. None of my 3 Samsung Phones have gone wrong at 3 years I just fancied an upgrade.

Next TV will be Samsung for me.

They made the majority of iPhone components for years as well..

Agreed. My first Samsung phone was the Galaxy S2 which like all my phones have heavy use. Passed to my mum after the contract expired and is still going strong after 7 years. None of the Samsung products I've owned have gone wrong and neither have any of my familly/friends.

Do the OLED/QLED manage tearing better, that's the only thing that still irritates me about modern tv's and was a big step back from plasma.
