Hello everyone! I’m looking to buy a bike for an iron man 70.3 (muskoka) this July, as well as partaking in general road cycling adventures. I currently do not have a suitable bike, so I was looking to get some input from those more knowledgeable than myself on this Specialized Roubaix that I found!

Please let me know if there’s further information I should convey, or if this post should be moved to another thread. Thanks in advance!

It's an old endurance bike work $300-400

It's quite an upright ride tbh and wouldn't be my choice for a triathlon.

Look at a genuine race bike or a TT bike?

Also an aero bike might be better if your wanting a good time.
Cannondale slice, systemsix, felt ar, giant propel, spez tarmac, madone, canyon aeroad all come to mind....

Aero bikes do sound like they would be better for my situation. Thanks for the recommendations!!

If you want the bike for primarily an Ironman, then it’s not the bike. If it’s for general road riding then it’s a great bike IF in good condition.
