Congratulations on your new arrival! You've shown enough patience to deserve a break.

BUT, do I detect the beginnings of an n+1 thing going on here? (and I'm not talking about bairns either;))

Definite n+1. In a few short months he's gone from sluggish commuter on a cast iron mtn bike to swish sportive rider with winter bike as well. Fixed next.

 Looking at the weather I need something with bigger tyres and slightly more stability to replace my now falling apart hybrid.

Just don't tell the wife!:smile:

So here it is. No upgrades, but I must admit it looks nice. The blue looks very cool in person.

No chance of riding it I'm afraid. On the way home from work (In the car) the temperature gauge dropped to -8C. Probably not advisable!

Also I'm off to the in-laws for Christmas tomorrow, so maybe after Christmas (when my new lights come through the post.....)

Veloce?

That looks a nice bike and that room looks far too tidy considering you've just moved, though there is a bit of cable spaghetti in the background. I'll be interested to hear what you think when you do get to ride it.

Black leather sofa:ohmy:

Nice looking bike though

I think it must be a throwback to when he was single. Black leather sofa, two Mordent Short speakers with valve amp and deck, plasma, plant and framed print, plus B&W square patterned rug: It's him to a T.

Coco,

It's a mixture of Veloce and Xenon. When I pulled the bike out, I saw some wee levers that I hadn't seen before. It seems that there is a difference between shimano and Campag! I haven't ridden it yet, but the layout of the levers look like they would be easier to use, especially in the drops...

Crackle,

Aye the spaggetti comes from one of my speaker stands that I haven't set up yet. We've actually done quite a lot since we've moved in. Two rooms and a small bathroom have been redecorated!

Ianrauk,

No idea about weight at the moment. No working scales at home. I'll weigh it when bring it into work. Feels a bit heavier at the back than my Kinesis.

MacB,

It's not black it's chocolate brown and my wife chose it!

Crackle (again),

When I was single there was no way I could afford a leather sofa! Never got the Mordent Short speakers, but now have (from a few years back), Keff Egg speakers (originals) with a Velodyne VX 10 sub, Marantz sr-5200 amp. No plasma, but a nice Loewe Vitros CRT TV! |Oh and the rug (no where for it at the new house) is a deep wine colour!
