quick German translation required

I need the German phrase for 'check dates', as in, to enquire about available booking dates, not, have a look at these dried fruits

Bablefish gave me 'prufen datum', but translating it back gave me 'check data'. Another is 'verfuegbarkeit pruefen' (check availability)... but that's too long for the tiny button i have to put the phrase on, so need something shorter, no more than six characters as I cannot make the button any bigger, or the font size smaller.

so, any German speakers know a short and sweet phrase meaning 'check dates'???

The problem with German is that it is literally an expansive language and six characters are usually not enough however prüfen meaning verify might do the job.

You could go for "frei?" Meaning literally free. Like hast du platz frei

"check dates" is more than six characters. Do you have more space on the button in english?

If it needs to be short, maybe simply go with "Buchen" ("book"). That seems to be what the hotel websites I quickly checked use.
