My Acera rear mech handles the 11-34 just fine although the clearance from the jockey wheel and the 34t cog is slim to say the least. As long as nothing is grinding you should be fine.

I have the triple models and they work flawlessly although I can't find them on evans site anymore.
Mine are now gathering dust as I went back to drops.

Running a 52-42-30t Ritchey triple on the Sora front mech. This is the capacity limit for the setup. Will sort a longer B screw, and if that doesn't fix it, will swap the chainset for a 48-38-28t which should bring it back inside the capacity parameters. It will shift to all gears.
Have already tagged the R243 Claris set if I need them, but will go with it as-is until I'm happy with how it runs.

Its a fiddle but you could also put the B screw in from the other side, that effectively makes it longer

Because you haven't read Sheldon on 'derailer-adjustment'?
"A larger low-gear sprocket may require a different rear derailer, for enough angle adjustment to clear the sprocket. In extreme cases, such as with a Shimano 36-tooth sprocket, a longer angle-adjustment screw may be needed -- some people even install the screw backwards."

Swapped it round, improved a bit, but would ideally like 2 or 3 mm more clearance. Anyone happen to know what gauge screw it is?
